From the plan to clear responsibilities
Once the plan is approved, turn its priorities into activities with owners, deadlines and resources. Define what must happen first, which actions depend on others and which decisions need authorisation. Agree how progress will be documented and when the work will be reviewed.
During implementation, BDC can act as an Interim Country Manager or provide commercial representation, depending on the engagement. The mandate defines the activities and authority to act. It may include opportunity development, meetings, proposal preparation, negotiation and coordination with business partners or specialists. Responsibilities should be clear to everyone involved in delivery.
Reporting that supports decisions
Management reporting should show what has happened and what needs attention. Review active opportunities, responses from customers or distributors, obstacles and pending decisions. Distinguish completed activities from the commercial results achieved.
Use that information to review priorities, adjust actions and check whether the plan’s assumptions still hold. If a need falls outside the agreed scope, decide how to address it before making further commitments. BDC proposes actions and works within the mandate. Your company retains approval of strategic, financial and contractual decisions throughout the engagement.
